What is MECC for menopause?

MECC for menopause supports you to challenge the culture around the menopause to open up purposeful conversations about it into everyday conversations at work or in your community, and support those who are experiencing it.

Who is this course for?

This course is for anyone who interacts with the public and wants to support menopause conversation in their workplace or community. It is particularly useful for workplace health champions and those who are responsible for workplace health and wellbeing strategies, but no previous knowledge is required in order to obtain the content of this course.

Key skills

The module introduces the Making Every Contact Count (MECC) framework, and its use for having a conversation with someone about menopause. Using the 3A’s (ASK, ASSIST, ACT) framework, participants will be able to explore the physical, emotional and social impacts of menopause, and provide information about how to access information and local support through menopause cafes, GPs, lifestyle services, online resources and apps.
