Managing the HACCP system is critical for ensuring food safety in any food business. This accredited Level 4 qualification will equip you with the appropriate knowledge and understanding to lead a HACCP team and to manage the implementation of a HACCP-based system in the work environment.

What is Level 4 Managing the HACCP system?
The RSPH Level 4 Award in Managing the HACCP System covers the advanced principles and practices of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). This qualification provides a comprehensive understanding of the management of the development, validation, implementation, verification, review and maintenance of a HACCP based food safety management systems using the Codex principles.
Effective management of HACCP systems is essential for preventing food safety issues. This accredited qualification is designed to help you ensure that your HACCP system is robust, effective, and compliant with regulatory standards.
This qualification is regulated by Ofqual/CCEA and Qualification Wales.
Who is this qualification for?
To take this qualification, it is recommended that you have a knowledge of food hygiene and safety equivalent to that contained in the RSPH Level 3 Awards in Food Safety. It is also recommended that you have achieved the RSPH Level 3 Award in Understanding how to Develop a HACCP Plan.

How long does it take to complete?
The qualification takes a total of 45 hours to complete, including 33 hours of guided learning time, followed by a synoptic examination made up of two papers.
