Air monitoring and sampling is a vital tool in verifying the effectiveness of asbestos removal work. This regulated Level 3 qualification provides you with the knowledge to inspect and test asbestos works that have been carried out, in order to ensure they meet the correct standards required by HSG248.

What are air monitoring and clearance procedures?
Air monitoring procedures are used to identify and quantify asbestos fibres in the air following any disturbance or removal activities. The Control of Asbestos Regulations sets out duties in relation to air testing and the cleanliness of asbestos enclosures and work areas.
This regulated Level 3 qualification will help you to develop the skills and knowledge to inspect and test asbestos works that have been carried out, to ensure they meet the correct standards required by HSG248.
This qualification is regulated by Ofqual/CCEA and Qualification Wales.

How long does it take to complete?
The qualification takes a total of 91 hours to complete, including 30 hours of guided learning time, of written examinations, portfolio of evidence.
