What is pest management?

Pest management involves the use of tools or strategies to control pests that can cause significant harm to humans or their environment. 

This accredited qualification is designed to help you to develop the skills and knowledge required to take on the role of a qualified Pest Technician, working alone or as part of a wider team to carry out control measures to manage a range of vertebrate and invertebrate pests. This qualification builds in the Level 2 Award in Pest Management, providing additional opportunities for learners to develop and demonstrate their ability to apply a range of pest management techniques. 

This qualification is regulated by Ofqual and CCEA.

How long does it take to complete?

The qualification takes a total of 171 hours to complete, including 62 hours of guided learning time, followed by three written examinations and the completion of two portfolios of evidence.
