Understanding sexual health is crucial to practicing safe sexual behaviour and experiencing healthy, consensual sexual relationships. Our accredited Level 2 qualification will help you to build the knowledge needed to support others in relation to their sexual health, including signposting to help and support.

What is sexual health?
Sexual health refers to a positive, safe and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships. This includes ensuring that sexual relationships are consensual and free of coercion, discrimination and violence.
This accredited qualification is designed to help you have effective conversations with others around the sexual health, including signposting them to available help and support.
This qualification is regulated by Ofqual and CCEA.

The Level 2 Award in Understanding Sexual Health is valuable for anyone whose work involves supporting people with their health, particularly sexual health - or if you’re looking to improve your own health and wellbeing.
Key skills
By completing this qualification, you will come away with practical, actionable understanding of how to support others in relation to sexual health, including:
- The law on sexual relationships in the UK
- The range of sexual relationships that exist
- Factors that may result in high-risk sexual activity
- The personal and social consequences of high-risk sexual activity
- How to provide help and support to others with regard to their sexual health.

How long does it take to complete?
The qualification takes a total of 10 hours to complete, including six hours of guided learning, followed by a workbook assessment.
