Our accredited Level 2 qualification will help you to build the skills and knowledge needed support others to identify and successfully make changes that can improve their health and wellbeing.
What is Level 2 Supporting Behaviour Change?
Behaviour change refers to any actions that someone can take to make improvements to their health and wellbeing. This could be anything from stopping smoking, to adopting a healthier diet, to being more physically active.
This accredited qualification is designed to help you to understand the key principles and models of behaviour change, and to develop the core skills and knowledge to use those models in conversations and brief interventions with others.
This qualification is regulated by Ofqual.

The Level 2 Award in Supporting Behaviour Change is valuable for anyone in or looking for roles that involve supporting others to make changes to their behaviour to improve their health and wellbeing.

- How to communicate effectively and build rapport with an individual
- Impacts of behaviour change and how to explore these factors
- How to support and individual in thinking about making a lifestyle behaviour change
- How to support an individual to plan a behaviour change.

How long does it take to complete?
The qualification takes a total of 16 hours to complete, followed by a 70-minute multiple-choice examination.
