What is Level 2 Encouraging Physical Activity?

Physical activity can include any movement that we undertake during our day, from getting to school or work, to sports, active recreation and play. It can help us all to maintain a healthy body weight and improve our mental health and wellbeing.

This accredited qualification is designed to help you further understand the benefits of physical activity, and to help others to develop plans to increase their own levels of physical activity.

This qualification is regulated by Ofqual and CCEA.

Who is this qualification for?

The Level 2 Award in Encouraging Physical Activity is valuable for anyone in or looking for employment – particularly for roles which involve supporting individuals in relation to physical activity - or you’re looking to improve your own health and wellbeing.

By completing this qualification, you will come away with practical, actionable understanding of how to encourage physical activity, including: 

• Understanding the health benefits of physical activity  
• Factors that can affect someone’s participation in physical activity   
• How to encourage someone to increase their level of physical activity

How long does it take to complete? 

The qualification takes a total of 10 hours to complete, including six hours of guided learning, followed by a workbook assessment.
