What is Level 2 Encouraging Healthy Weight and Healthy Eating?

Healthy eating involves eating a healthy, balanced diet that meets recommended nutritional requirements. This accredited qualification is designed to help you recognise why individuals may not be at a healthy weight, the effect on health of this, the principles of healthy eating and how individuals can be helped and supported to achieve a healthy weight and eat healthily.

This qualification is regulated by Ofqual and CCEA.

Who is this qualification for? 

The Level 2 Award in Encouraging a Healthy Weight and Healthy Eating is valuable for anyone in or looking for employment – particularly for roles which involve supporting healthy eating - or you’re looking to improve your own health and wellbeing.

By completing this qualification, you will come away with practical, actionable understanding of healthy eating and weight management, including: 

• Factors that result in someone being over or under a healthy weight and the consequences of this  
• The principle of healthy eating  
• How to provide help and support to the individual

How long does it take to complete? 

The qualification takes a total of 10 hours to complete, including six hours of guided learning, followed by a workbook assessment.
