What is Level 1 Health Improvement?

Health improvement involves any actions that are intended to make the health and wellbeing of people and their communities better through enabling and encouraging healthy choices.

This accredited qualification is designed to help you to recognise and understand the individual and social factors that can have a positive or negative impact on health, and to know how to make improvements to your own health.

This qualification is regulated by Ofqual/CCEA and Qualification Wales.

Who is this qualification for? 

Level 1 Health Improvement is valuable for anyone in or looking for employment – whether you have started a new role with a new employer, you’re preparing for work experience, or you’re looking to improve your own health and wellbeing.

How long does it take to complete? 

The qualification takes a total of 7 hours to complete, followed by a 45-minute multiple-choice examination or a workbook assessment.
