What is Level 1 Health Awareness?

There are many different factors that can impact on our health and wellbeing. These can be both individual and unique to us, or they can stem from the neighbourhoods and environments that we live in.

This accredited qualification is designed to help you to recognise and understand these factors, and to identify behaviours that can help you to improve your own health and wellbeing.

This qualification is regulated by Ofqual/CCEA and Qualification Wales.

Who is this qualification for? 

Level 1 Health Awareness is valuable for anyone in or looking for employment – whether you have started a new role with a new employer, you’re preparing for work experience - or you’re looking to improve your own health and wellbeing.

By completing this qualification, you will come away with practical, actionable understanding of health and wellbeing, including: 

• The meaning of positive health  
• Basic principles of public health  
• Understanding lifestyle choices affecting personal health and wellbeing 
• Managing personal health collaboratively with service providers

How long does it take to complete? 

The qualification takes a total of 7 hours to complete, followed by a 40-minute multiple-choice examination.
